Born two hours ago – and already charmed the world

At first glance, it may look like a stuffed toy, but this tiny creature is actually a newborn hippo. Just a few hours old, this baby has already won the internet and the hearts of people around the world.

Baby hippos are born weighing an average of 25 to 50 kilograms, and although they show strength and stability from the very first moments, their appearance evokes an instinctive tenderness. Their large eyes, stocky bodies, and clumsy steps make them irresistible.

In the wild, hippos are born in water, where the young can swim immediately. In zoos, such as the ones where these photos were taken, babies receive special attention and care, often becoming the main attraction due to their rarity and appearance.

This image is not just a depiction of something cute – it reminds us of the miracle of life and how much beauty can fit into just a few kilograms of a new beginning.
