Actor Jonathan Joss Killed In Alleged Hate Crime Following Ongoing Harassment

Jonathan Joss, known for his role as John Redcorn on King of the Hill, was tragically shot and killed by his neighbor, Sigfredo Ceja Alvarez, following a dispute on June 1. Alvarez, 56, was arrested and charged with murder.

Joss’s husband, Tristan Kern de Gonzales, shared on Facebook that neither he nor Jonathan had any weapons during the incident. Jonathan pushed him out of the way, saving his life. The couple believes the attack was motivated by hate due to repeated harassment they faced as an LGBT couple. However, the San Antonio Police Department stated there is currently no evidence connecting the murder to Joss’s sexual orientation, although the investigation remains ongoing.

Kern de Gonzales is committed to preserving Jonathan’s legacy and honoring their life together, emphasizing that Jonathan was a loving husband who gave him immense love during their time as newlyweds.
