King Charles To Grant Prince William Historic New Title In Royal First

Prince William, the eldest son of King Charles III, will receive a new title this week during the Order of the Bath Service at Westminster Abbey on May 16, 2025. This marks the 300th anniversary of the order. William will be sworn in as Great Master, a prestigious role in a tradition dating back to 1725.

This ceremony is significant as it’s the first time Charles will attend as the reigning monarch, making it a rare royal event. The order has three classes: Companion, Knight or Dame Commander, and Knight or Dame Grand Cross, with women allowed since 1971.

Additionally, the royal family recently unveiled new portraits of Charles and Camilla, which sparked online debate after viewers noticed an unusual detail: a bra draped over Charles’s shoulder in the painting, leading to much speculation on social media.
