Hollywood Mourns as Beloved Actress Dies at 39 — Fans in Shock

LOS ANGELES — The entertainment world is reeling from the tragic death of American actress Michelle Trachtenberg, best known for her roles in Gossip Girl, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Harriet the Spy.

The star passed away at just 39 years old, her representatives confirmed today.
Trachtenberg, who grew up in front of the camera, first captured hearts as the daring and curious Harriet in the 1996 film Harriet the Spy.

She went on to earn critical acclaim and a loyal fanbase as Dawn Summers in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, later joining the cast of the hit CW drama Gossip Girl as the unforgettable Georgina Sparks.
