This Boy Was Only 16 When He Lost Star Dad – 8 Years Later, He Came Out as Gay and Now Raises 2 Sons

Michael Landon, the beloved star of Little House on the Prairie and Bonanza, passed away from pancreatic cancer at the age of 54.

His son, Christopher Landon, was just 16 when he lost his father. After years of grappling with his sexuality, Christopher came out as gay at 24, making a promise to his father to “live and love as hard as he can.”

Christopher, who had a challenging childhood, especially due to his internal struggles, eventually found acceptance within his family.

His mother, though initially shocked, eventually embraced his sexuality. His father, Michael, had subtly indicated he knew before Christopher came out.

Now in his 40s, Christopher is a proud father of two sons, Beau and August, with his husband, Cody Morris. Despite some challenges and hateful comments, Christopher’s family has been a source of strength, and he continues to live authentically. He shares his life and lessons on embracing love and acceptance.
