In a devastating tragedy, a passenger plane crashed in the Amazon rainforest of Brazil on Friday, August 9 , 2024, killing all 62 people onboard the flight. The small aircraft, operated by Manaus Aerotáxi, was enroute to the remote destination of Barcelos in the northwestern region of the country when it went down during its final approach to the runway.
