Many of us look back on our past and remember some of the things we used to do with a nostalgic feeling. Sometimes, we may even forget about some of the things that we did, and it seems as if that is the case with an unusual item.
Some people had found these unusual items, which were two plastic or ceramic balls hanging on strings. The strings were attached to the top and it seemed as if there was no possible use for it.
After doing some research, they found out that it was actually a very popular toy back in the 1970s. Most people refer to them as Clackers but they were also known as Clik-Klaks.
These were very popular toys back in the 1970s and many children would play with them every day. Today, they are not used very often by children but they are collected by toy collectors who prize them for their rarity.
The way that you use the toys is to hold the string where it came together, typically by a ring that was attached. You then started moving your hand up and down to swing the balls outward and have them clack back together again. More advanced users would get them swinging hard enough that they would clack at the bottom and the top of the swing.
The toy was invented by Wham-O in 1969. That company also made the frisbee, hula-hoop, and the Superball. More than 10 million of these toys were sold in their first year.
