Megyn Kelly against Black National Anthem at NFL Games
Megyn Kelly criticized the Super Bowl for getting «woke» by playing the Black National Anthem before the big game.
Megyn Kelly, a well-known journalist, is coming out this week to criticize the Super Bowl for getting «woke» by playing the Black National Anthem before the game on Sunday night.
Kelly said on her podcast, «Can I tell you, like, it wasn’t as bad as it’s been in the past, but it was a woke Super Bowl and it was annoying?»
«Why did we need the all-female flyover, which they did?» — Fox I mean, they even showed clips on Fox. «It’s a flyover for women only.» Oh, right. Okay, then. You helped me remember that women can also be pilots. She then said coldly, «I didn’t know that.»
Then Kelly talked about Sheryl Lee Ralph singing the Black National Anthem.
«Then, of course, we had to have the Black National Anthem in addition to the normal national anthem, which is very controversial.» There is no reason for a Black National Anthem to be sung before the Super Bowl,» Kelly said. «But only one country has a national song. It brings us together. It’s about patriotism. It doesn’t make sense to divide us by race over something that already brings us together as a country.»
Kelly didn’t stop there. He then talked about how many «left-wing» celebrities were featured in Super Bowl ads.
«Then, left-leaning celebrities like Amy Schumer and Ben Affleck, who won’t even work with a Republican, were all over the ads. Kelly said, «He won’t work with anyone who is an open Republican.»
Kelly was probably talking about an interview Affleck gave in 2014 in which he criticized Republicans.
Affleck told Playboy Magazine at the time, «People know me as a Democrat now, and that will always be true to some extent.» «It does make people disagree, and you can split your audience in two.»
«When I watch a guy I know is a big Republican, part of me thinks, I probably wouldn’t like this person if I met him, or we would have different ideas,» he said. «That s–t makes it hard to focus on what you’re doing and gets you caught up in the illusion.»
Kelly’s tirade ended with her accusing the people in charge of the Super Bowl of «pandering.»
Kelly said, «All I could think was, They don’t get it right.» «For example, the people who make the shows and the ads don’t even try to think about the other half of the country. They are just being nice. They just want to please everyone. And that’s okay. The game was fun, but it’s a little annoying when you’re watching it.»
Rick Leventhal, who was Kelly’s guest and used to work for Fox News, agreed with her.
Leventhal said, «I have to agree, and I don’t know why this keeps happening.» «Why can’t we all get along? Why can’t everyone be a part of every kind of entertainment? I didn’t know that Ben Affleck wouldn’t work with Republicans.
«I’d never heard anything like that before,» he said. «I do know that a lot of artists in Hollywood are afraid to be honest about how they feel about politics because they don’t want their shows to be canceled, and this is true in every business. I’m not shocked, but I’m still sad.»
Kelly is one of the few people in the media who isn’t afraid to speak out against the «woke left.» Many people will agree with what she said about the Super Bowl, as the whole show seemed to be made to make us even more divided than we already are.
