CHRISTIAN SINGER NATALIE GRANT SINGS NATIONAL ANTHEM, HAS NFL OFF TO A GREAT START

The NFL is back in action and the Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs suffered an embarrassing home loss to the Detroit Lions.

That was a bad loss, but at least Natalie Grant, a Christian singer, rocked the National Anthem to start this years NFL season on a strong note.

Western Journal reported on her thriller:

“Nine-time Grammy nominee and five-time Gospel Music Association Female Vocalist of the year Natalie Grant will sing the national anthem while the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office Honor Guard will present the colors.

The flyover will be conducted by the 110th and 393rd Bomb Squadron’s B-2 Stealth Bombers out of Whiteman Air Force Base,” the Chiefs said in a statement Thursday.

A gospel singer, a sheriff’s office honor guard and a military flyover. Somewhere in this cold, hard world, Robin DiAngelo is feeling very white and fragile right now.

I TOOK MY SON FOR A MILKSHAKE—AND HE TAUGHT ME MORE THAN I’VE TAUGHT HIM It was one of those days where everything felt heavier than usual. Bills overdue, my phone buzzing nonstop with messages I didn’t want to answer, and the weight of just… life. So I told myself we’d take a break. Just me and my little boy, Nolan. Quick milkshake run, nothing fancy. We went to the corner diner where the floors still look like they haven’t changed since the ’80s. He got his usual—vanilla, no whip, extra cherry. A little boy wearing gray shorts and the tiniest sneakers I’ve ever seen. They didn’t talk. They didn’t need to. Nolan just walked up, wrapped one arm around the boy, and held his milkshake out so they could sip it together—one straw, both of them holding the cup like it was some sacred thing. The other kid leaned in like it was the most normal thing in the world. No hesitation. No asking what school he went to or if his parents made more money or if he looked like him. Just pure, quiet connection. I don’t even think they knew I was watching. The boy’s mom came out of the restroom and froze for a second when she saw them. Then she looked at me and smiled—this tired, grateful kind of smile like she needed that moment just as much as I did. And then Nolan looked back at me, still holding the cup, and said something I’ll never forget— (continues in the first ) 👇👇
