Benjamin Gründer, 37, had no idea that a trip to the Po River in Italy would result in one of the largest catches he had ever seen. It took all of his strength to catch it! Gründer had already made plans to capture something huge from the river, which is a popular area for other fishermen seeking for big catches and a favorite venue for popular anglers’ catch-and-release movies.
When Gründer felt his lure snag, he had such trouble getting it up that he mistook it for a tree. When he finally got the massive catch on board and examined it, he realized he had broken a record.
