‘One Life To Live’ And ‘Call Of Duty’ Actor Dies At 56


Actor Kamar De Los Reyes is best known for his role as Antonio Vega on the soap opera “One Life to Live.” He first appeared on the soap opera from 1995 to 1998 and returned to the soap from 2000 to 2009. In all, he appeared on 287 episodes through the years.

De Los Reyes was also well known for his work on the video game series “Call of Duty.” He provided both the the voice and the motion capture for the character Raul Menendez on “Call of Duty: Black Ops II,” “Call of Duty: Strike Team,” “Call of Duty: Black Ops 4,” “Call of Duty: Vanguard,” and “Call of Duty: Warzone.”

In addition to those including “Valley of the Dolls,” “ER,” “Sleepy Hollow,” “The Passage,” and “The Rookie,” just to name a few. Most recently, he was portraying Coach Montes on the TV series “All American.”

Now, De Los Reyes’ acting career is officially over. Deadline reports that he died on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2023, after a brief battle with cancer. He was only 56 years old.

De Los Reyes was born in Puerto Rico, grew up in Las Vegas, and moved to Los Angeles in the 1980s to pursue an acting career. In addition to his on-screen acting work, he also acted on stage. In 1994, he originated the role of Pedro Quinn in the off-Broadway play “Blade to the Heat.”

Throughout his acting career, Del Los Reyes was nominated for the ALMA award five times, and he won in 2008. He was also nominated for an Image Award and a Daytime Emmy Special Fan Award.

De Los Reyes is survived by his wife, fellow “One Life to Live” actress Sherri Saum, their 9-year-old twin boys Michael and John, his son Caylen from a previous relationship, his brothers Daniel and Walfredo, Jr., his sisters Lily and Ilde, and his parents, Matilde and Walfredo.
