Sandra Bullock planning heartfelt final farewell to late partner – “it holds a lot of meaning”
Sandra Bullock has had a rough few weeks – from losing her long-term partner to inadvertently getting involved in the drama surrounding ‘The Blind Side’.
Now, however, things seem to be looking up and she reportedly plans a heartfelt tribute to her late partner Bryan Randall.
The 59-year-old actress’ partner, 57, sadly passed away on August 5 after a long (but quiet) battle with ALS (or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) – a neurodegenerative disorder that can severely impact the nerve cells in the spinal cord and the brain, according to the Mayo Clinic.
It progressively gets worse and causes significant muscle control loss in people who have it. Sadly, there is no cure yet, and the disease is fatal.
Bullock and Randall, a photographer, began dating in 2015, several months after he was hired to photograph her son Louis’ birthday celebration.
In a “Red Table Talk” episode in December 2021, Bullock touched on her bond with Randall, as well as her tumultuous divorce from ex-husband Jesse James in 2010.
“I am someone who went through the divorce process,” she said, adding: “I discovered the love of my life. We share the joy of raising two beautiful children – three children, counting [Randall’s] older daughter. It’s a priceless experience.”
The Proposal actress described her partner as a “saint” after telling him she would be adopting a second child when they had only just begun dating.
‘I said, “Remember that NDA you signed when you photographed my son?” I said, “You know, that still holds.” He said “Why?” I said, “I’m bringing a child home when I come back from Toronto,’” Sandra explained.
The duo never officially married, but details of an unofficial exchanging of “vows” has come out since Randall’s death – with the pair reportedly having a small ceremony with friends and family in the Bahamas on December 31, 2017.
Bullock is the mother of two children, Louis, 13, and Laila, 10. Randall has a daughter, Skylar, from a previous relationship.
Now, sources have revealed to the Daily Mail that Bullock is planning an emotional final farewell for Randall, which involves scattering his ashes in a meaningful location.
According to the source, she is considering scattering his ashes in the sea near Three Bees in the Bahamas. They told the outlet: “The place was just so special to them both. They would take over the entire island so they could just be themselves. It was a place where they shared some of their happiest times together and with the kids and friends.”
They continued: “They would go there for weeks at a time. It holds a lot of meaning and it just makes sense for that to be where she says goodbye to him.”
We are sending our thoughts and prayers to Sandra Bullock at this especially difficult time.
