Gutfeld Believes Biden Family ‘Trolling Kamala’ After Latest Remark From President’s Sister!

A statement by President Joe Biden’s sister has led to new speculation that the first family may be trying to move Vice President Kamala Harris off the ticket ahead of the 2024 election as her polling numbers continue to tank.

As reported by the New York Post, Joe’s sister, Valerie Biden Owens, has endorsed the 41-year-old Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, as a presidential candidate in the near future rather than Harris, who would be seen as the heir apparent were she to serve two terms as Biden’s VP.
“Biden Owens, a veteran political strategist and campaign manager for her brother, has spoken out about her keenness for the mom of two to venture into politics, previously agreeing that Markle would “make a good presidential candidate one day,’” The Post reported, quoting Biden’s sister.

The outlet also noted that Markle happens to tie with Harris in a survey of Democratic voters’ choice of a female presidential candidate. Both are ahead of two-time loser Hillary Clinton.
“The more women we have, the better our democratic system will work, with a better point of view, a different point of view and we embrace all women,” Biden Owns said, according to The Post. “We welcome [Markle] to come in and join the Democratic Party.”

The entire situation is funny to Fox News star Greg Gutfeld.

“I feel like the Biden family is trolling Kamala,” he said on “The Five” this week, per OK magazine. “Did you see that rumor in The Post. It’s great. Joe Biden’s sister … she is pushing Meghan Markle. You know that is upsetting Kamala Harris when the president’s sister is saying, ‘You know who will be a good president: Meghan Markle.’ That is just jamming it in!”

“My feeling the only way Kamala sticks around is as Gavin Newsom’s running mate — then you are going to get two people from California representing the Democrats. That is the worse state in the union. That is like choosing two members of ‘The View’ to represent America in the Miss Universe pageant. It is not a good choice,” he further quipped.
There have been frequent reports of tension between Biden and Harris dating back to their earlier months in office.

New York Times reporters Jonathan Martin and Alexander Burns detail in their 2022 book, “This Will Not Pass: Trump, Biden, and the Battle for America’s Future” a slew of tense moments and exchanges between Harris and Biden.

In one instance, the book alleges that Biden left Republican senators stunned during legislative negotiations just months after they took office in 2021 when he strongly shut down Harris in front of everyone.

In a meeting last May, Biden and Harris met with senators to discuss passing a $1 trillion infrastructure bill through Congress when Harris reportedly “thought that there was something missing from the conversation.”

The book alleges that Harris “began to make the case for a larger package than the one Republicans seemed to have in mind,” which included adding more Democratic goodies.

“Biden dismissed her comment immediately,” the authors explain, adding, “that even the Republican senators were taken aback” by his harsh tone.

In another meeting, the NYT authors quote Maryland GOP Gov. Larry Hogan, who recounted a meeting between Biden, Harris, and a handful of governors.

Hogan recalled Harris’s role in meetings as “very strange,” saying she sat quietly and it was noticeable.

“Harris did not say a word,” Hogan said, adding that he didn’t know if Harris was “just being deferential to the president — didn’t want to step on him” or there was something else going on.
Also last week, a new survey found that Harris is the least-popular vice president in recorded history, in an NBC News poll.

“Data Download: The number of the day is … 32%,” the poll said. “That’s the share of registered voters in a new NBC News poll who say they have a positive view of Vice President Kamala Harris. That’s compared with 49% who have a negative view of her, including 39% who have a ‘very negative’ view.”

“Harris’ net-negative rating (-17) is the lowest for any vice president in the poll’s history,” the report noted further.
