Jason Aldean Celebrates His First Billboard Hot 100 Chart-Topper With His Family And Luke Bryan…

Jason Aldean, Brittany Aldean, and their two children gathered together with family and friends to celebrate the success of his first-ever Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 with “Try That In A Small Town.”

On Tuesday (August 1), the 36-year-old mother of two took to social media to share footage of the low-key get-together, which took place at The Troubadour Golf & Field Club in Tennessee.

“A Career First”
“Well, yesterday was a monumental day for @jasonaldean ❤️ #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart!! …A career first 🙏🏼,” she wrote in the caption of her latest Instagram post.

Referring to the controversy that ensued following the release of the “Try That In A Small Town” music video, Brittany added, That sure did backfire, didn’t it?? The best fans EVERRRR ❣️❣️❣️❣️.”

The gathering was attended by their close family and friends, including his father Barry, and stepmom as well as two of his children, Memphis and Navy.

Jason’s long-time “bestie” and fellow country music superstar, Luke Bryan, was also among the attendees, according to an Instagram story shared by Brittany Aldean on Monday evening (July 31).

They were toasting Jason Aldean’s recent achievement on the Billboard charts, where he reached a major milestone with his first-ever No. 1 hit on the Hot 100 chart, which was also his 40th entry on the chart.

The chart-topping hit also becomes Jason Aldean’s record label Broken Bow’s first Hot 100 No. 1 hit since the label launched in 1999. Broken Bow previously charted in the Top 10 of the Hot 100 with Jason Aldean’s “Dirt Road Anthem,” which was released in 2010.

The celebration comes just weeks after Brittany Aldean defended her husband on social media following backlash from the song and its music video.

Following the release of the “Try That In A Small Town” music video, Social media users accused the singer of being pro-gun and racist and began to interpret the lyrics of the song. Many listeners were outraged and dubbed the track a “dog whistle” and believed that the lyrics pushed a right-wing agenda.

On Tuesday (July 18), Brittany Aldean took to Instagram to express her frustration over the media’s portrayal of the situation.

“Media… It’s the same song and dance,” she wrote in her Instagram stories. ”Twist everything you can to fit your repulsive narrative. How about instead of creating stories, we focus on the REAL ones such as CHILD TRAFFICKING? Food for thought.”

She later shared a selfie of her and Jason Aldean, which she captioned, “Never apologize for speaking the truth.❣️🇺🇸”

On Tour
Jason Aldean is in the midst of his Highway Desperado Tour, which kicked off on July 14 at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts in Bethel, NY.

Produced by Live Nation, the 39-city headlining tour will make stops across the U.S. in Atlanta, Charlotte, Phoenix and more. The trek is expected to come to a close in Tampa at MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Amphitheatre on October 28.

Mitchell Tenpenny and Corey Kent serve as support on the run

Additionally, Jason Aldean is also scheduled to perform at A Covenant Knight at the Grand Ole Opry House in support of The Covenant School. The benefit will feature performances by Aldean, Morgan Wallen, Anne Wilson, Brandon Heath, Jeffrey Steele, Lee Brice, Maddie & Tae, NEEDTOBREATHE, Old Dominion, and Zach Williams.

Hosted by Storme Warren, the two-hour event comes just nearly five months after The Covenant School tragedy and marks the beginning of a new school year for the students and faculty.
