Tourist’s selfie stunt in crocodile enclosure takes deadly turn

What began as a strange effort to take a selfie quickly transformed into a genuine horror scene when a tourist entered a crocodile enclosure, mistakenly believing the enormous 15-foot creature was merely a harmless statue. Just moments later, the reptile demonstrated its true nature, leaping at the man during his photo session in a startling incident captured on film.

An incident that occurred on April 28 at the Kabug Island Mangrove and Wetlands Park in Zamboanga Sibugay, Philippines, has sparked a social media uproar and raised significant concerns regarding zoo safety, visitor conduct, and fundamental common sense.

Authorities report that a 29-year-old man – whose identity has not been disclosed – was at the park when he noticed a large reptile, later confirmed to be a fully-grown female crocodile named Lalay, relaxing in her enclosure.
