Austria is mourning a heartbreaking loss after a mass shooting at a school in the city of Graz left nine people dead, including seven students, on the morning of Tuesday, June 10.

The horrific event unfolded at BORG Dreischützengasse, a well-known high school in central Graz. Police responded swiftly to emergency calls around 10:00 a.m. local time, according to national broadcaster ORF.

The suspected shooter, who is believed to have taken his own life
