A Shocking Turn at a Georgia Concert
In an unprecedented incident that has left country–music aficionados around the globe in shock, 66-year-old Alan Jackson collapsed in the middle of a live performance last night at the Coastal Plains Amphitheatre in Brunswick, Georgia. Known for his rich baritone, his string of multi–platinum hits, and his steadfast devotion to the traditions of country music, Jackson appeared to falter during his rendition of “Chattahoochee” before falling to one knee and then to the stage floor. Within seconds, venue medical staff and on-site paramedics raced to his side, pausing the concert as Jackson was carefully placed on a stretcher and transported to nearby Southeast Georgia Health System Brunswick.
