Funny story: Teenage couple argue about next base, then dad steps in

The late Bob Hope once said “I have seen what a laugh can do. It can transform almost unbearable tears into something bearable, even hopeful.” Today, we are sharing a funny story about a frisky young man, hoping that you will find some hope, despite whatever unbearable thing you are facing. Keep reading if you need a laugh! Picture this: Two teenagers spend hours at a restaurant, exchanging flirtatious looks across the table. When the date is over, the young man drops her off at the house she lives with her family, but before leaving her, he’s hoping for a little bit of action.

They share a long, sweet goodnight kiss in the hallway by the front door, but as she pulls away, he gives her a cheeky smile and says, “Babe, how about we, you know…go a little further?”

Driven by hormones and confidence, he leans against the wall beside her, trying to melt her heart with his eyes. Unconvinced, she quietly snaps, “Are you insane? My parents are asleep inside!”

“Oh, come on,” he replies, pointing up the stairs towards the dark hallway. “They’re all sleeping. Who’s going to hear us at this hour?” He adds, pulling her hands into his.

Moving away from her boyfriend, who’s still leaning against the wall by the door, she says, “Can you imagine if we got caught?”

Dropping the cool-guy act, the 19-year-old takes a different approach, and decides to beg.

“Please?” he pleads, “I love you so much!”

Still denying him, she responds, “No, no, and no. I love you too, but I just can’t! It’s way too risky!”

“Yes you can,” he continues.

They go back and forth, him begging and her refusing, until suddenly, the hallway light flicks on.

Her little sister appears at the top of the stairs, yawning and rubbing her sleepy eyes.

“Dad says that you should go ahead and do it, or mom can do it. Or if need be, dad says he can come down himself and do it.

“But tell your boyfriend to stop leaning against the intercom!”
