After Pam Bondi shut down Adam Schiff, Democrats panic and put her nomination on hold. [VIEW]

It’s unclear when the confirmation vote will take place because Senate Democrats just put a hold on Pam Bondi, President Donald Trump’s attorney general nomination. Social media conservative pundits speculated that the action was a frantic response to Bondi’s confirmation hearing, during which she silenced congressional Democrats during their interrogation of her before the Senate.

Sen. Adam Schiff (D-CA) pressed Bondi on a number of topics, including his worries over former Rep. Liz Cheney’s (R-WY) investigation, in a video from the hearing that went viral on X. “He has publicly called for it,” Schiff stated. I take it that you know that? After remarking that no one had asked him to look into Liz, Bondi questioned why Democrats were “so worried” about Cheney.

Bondi changed the course of events as Schiff went on, saying, “You know what we should be worried about? California’s crime rate has skyrocketed in recent years. Robberies in your area are 87% more frequent than the national average. “That’s what I want to be focused on, Senator, if I’m confirmed as attorney general,” she swore as Schiff continued to talk over her.

Schiff went on to argue, “And by not responding today, you’re implying that you lack the autonomy to refuse the President. So allow me to pose another query to you. If you want to be a competent attorney general, you must also be able to tell the president the truth. I now want to know if you can tell the President the truth about her.

Let me begin with a simple fact that you could discuss with the President. Could you tell us? Is it possible to inform him that Donald Trump did not win the 2020 election? Are you able to say that? Do you have the self-reliance to declare that you are serious, tall, and have the guts to tell Donald Trump that he lost the 2020 election? Are you able to tell us that today? Schiff continued.

Refusing to let the California Democrat interrupt her, the nominee answered confidently. “What I can promise you, Senator, is that I will never get involved in politics. You’re attempting to have a gotcha with me. Schiff attempted to interrupt, but she told him, “I won’t play politics, with any ongoing investigation like you did leaking your colleague Devin Nunes’ memo.”

The two also argued about whether or not to pardon the protesters from January 6, during which Schiff voiced doubt that each case would be examined. Bondi answered, “I will review all of the files that I am requested to review,” but Schiff cut him off. You won’t, of course. The nominee claimed to have enough employees to go over the cases quickly. “You were censured by Congress, Senator, for remarks just like this that are so reckless,” Bondi continued.
