Kayla Unbehaun, Who Vanished at 9, Was Found after Dad Prayed Every Day for 6 Years to Find Her Alive

Ryan Iskerka never gave up hope of finding his daughter, Kayla Unbehaun, after she was abducted by her mother, Heather, in 2017. Despite Ryan winning sole custody, Heather took Kayla during a camping trip. After six years of daily prayers, Kayla was recognized by a store clerk in North Carolina in May 2023, leading to Heather’s arrest and Kayla’s safe return. Ryan thanked those who kept the case alive and requested privacy as they rebuild their relationship.

In another case, a missing 9-year-old girl, featured on Unsolved Mysteries, was found safe after a renewed investigation prompted by the show’s coverage. Authorities confirmed the recovery after a tip came in following the feature. The girl’s family expressed immense gratitude, saying they never gave up hope.
