Don’t Ever Use Turmeric If You’re on Any of The Following Medications

Turmeric is an extremely beneficial natural ingredient, which is believed to be an alternative cure for numerous different illnesses. Namely, as its use has fewer side-effects, it is often advised as a natural variant of medications and drugs.

However, in some rare cases, turmeric can cause severe negative effects on the health, if used excessively, or if combined with certain drugs.

When referring to turmeric, people usually think of the ground-up root of this plant, which has been used as a culinary spice, as a medicine, and in ceremonies in India for more than four millennia.

Numerous studies have proven the health benefits of turmeric, even though not all of them are scientifically backed- up.

Most of its properties are due to its active ingredient, curcumin, which has been found to have powerful anti-carcinogenic, anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, and anti-thrombotic properties.

Due to its beneficial action, numerous people use turmeric in combination with other medication, or as an alternative to their prescribed drugs. This is mostly due to their wish to avoid the negative effects and complications of the excessive use of pharmaceuticals.

However, turmeric can be dangerous if taken in combination with some specific drugs, and may cause harmful and severe side-effects.

Sometimes, its most advantageous properties may become dangerous if combined with drugs. Thus, its anti-thrombotic property which reduces blood clots may endanger the health if combined with blood-thinning medicines, like aspirin, warfarin (Coumadin, or clopidogrel (Plavix). Namely, their combination actually boosts the effect of the blood-thinning drugs and thus raises the risk of bleeding.

Turmeric also interacts with diabetes medications, which reduce the blood sugar. Namely, it boosts their effect, and thus elevates the risk of low blood sugar. As a result, you may experience numerous side –effects, like blurred vision, delirium, impaired cognitive function, anxiety, and shakiness.

The consumption of turmeric may also lead to allergic reactions, such as outbreaks like rashes or hives, and may even cause shortness of breath and anaphylaxis.

Furthermore, turmeric should not be combined with drugs that reduce stomach acid, as the body will actually increase its production of stomach acid, and thus, lead to nausea, stomach pain, bloating, and esophagus damage.

These drugs which lower the stomach acid include Omeprazole, Famotidine (Pepcid), Cimetidine (Tagamet), and Ranitidine (Zantac).

Therefore, if you take turmeric at the same time as some drug or medicine, or in case you experience some allergic reaction, you should replace it with some other natural alternative, or reduce the amount of turmeric you consume.

MY NON-BIO DAUGHTER’S WORDS IN COURT CHANGED THE VERDICT AT THE LAST MINUTE I fell for Molly the second I saw her. She was gorgeous, but that didn’t stop her boyfriend from leaving her when she got pregnant. She cried on my shoulder. I was madly in love, so I asked her to marry me. I just wanted to be there. Molly hated every second of her pregnancy. I hoped she’d warm up after the baby was born. But when Amelia came into the world, Molly just complained, missing her old life. She barely cared for the kid. But Amelia? She was my whole world, my light. We lived this weird life for 5 years until one day, Molly dropped the bomb: “I want a divorce! I’m so over you and that little girl! I wish I’d never had her!” That was it for me too. Just a month later, she was back with Tanner — the same guy who ditched her! While Amelia and I struggled, Molly was partying like she wanted. So, my child and I had just started to rebuild our lives when Molly showed up again: Her: “Tanner’s finally ready to be a dad. Hand over my daughter.” Me: “Are you freaking serious?! She’s my daughter. I was here when you were off doing God knows what!” Her: “What court would ever take your side?! She’s our child by blood. You’re nothing to her!” Court day came, and I knew how these things go — mothers always win. The thought of losing my little girl was tearing me apart. Just when I thought it was over, buring my head in my hands, I heard a familiar voice speak up: “Excuse me, can I say something?”⬇Continues in the comments

THREE OF US BECAME DADS IN THE SAME DAY—BUT ONE TEXT CHANGED EVERYTHING I don’t even know where to start. Honestly, it still feels unreal. Me, Mateo, and Idris—we’ve been fighting fires together for almost six years. Same shifts, same station, same inside jokes. We always joked about how synchronized our lives felt. But nothing prepared us for this. All three of us found out we were gonna be dads within months of each other. My wife, Noelle, was due mid-March. Mateo’s girlfriend, Callie, was expecting literally any day. Idris and his husband had just finalized the adoption papers for their newborn son. What no one saw coming was that all our kids ended up arriving within 24 hours—same hospital, same floor, all our partners in neighboring rooms. Nurses were laughing, saying they’d never seen anything like it. We even took a picture in the hallway, holding up little ones wrapped like burritos, still wearing our station jackets. Everyone kept saying how perfect it was—like something out of a movie. But what people don’t know is what happened about two hours after that photo. I was grabbing coffee from the vending machine when I got a text. It was from Callie. Mateo’s girlfriend. Short and sharp: “I need to tell you something. Alone.” At first, I thought maybe she was freaking out about new mom stuff. But when I glanced at Mateo through the glass—him sitting there cradling his daughter, totally oblivious—something in my stomach dropped. I haven’t responded yet. I’ve been sitting here, staring at that message, wondering how much one conversation could mess up everything we’ve built. I keep thinking… should I even open this door?⬇⬇ (continues in comment)
