Godspeed, Sir Elton John

Elton John’s retirement has had a challenging start. Since being brought to the hospital last night, Sir John Elton reportedly has gotten an update.

According to the BBC, Elton tripped and hurt himself at his home in the South of France. Following that, the well-known performer was taken to a nearby hospital “as a precautionary measure,” according to Elton’s spokesman.

Fortunately, the statement claimed, Elton was discovered to be in good health following many tests at the orthopedic section of Princess Grace Hospital. “Following examinations, he was promptly released this morning and is now back at home and in good health,” the statement said.

At the moment, Elton, David Furnish, and their two children all call the South of France home. The family has been dwelling there ever since Elton announced his official retirement from live performances in July.

Elton is currently 76 years old.

Elton no longer performs live, but that doesn’t mean he’s stopped writing music. Even though it’s not apparent if he has anything planned, this won’t be the last time we hear from him.
