First Bruce Willis, and now his daughter ๐ญ๐ They didnโt deserve this. Full story in the comments ๐๐๐
Bruce Willis and his family have had a rough few months.
Those who read this article are probably aware that the A-lister has been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia, a degenerative brain ailment that has caused him to withdraw from the spotlight, maybe permanentlyโฆ
True, much has been said about the familyโs love and care for Bruce at his darkest hour, but recent reports paint a disturbing picture of the starโs mental health.
As her fatherโs condition worsens, the Willis family, as reported by Radar Online, is becoming increasingly concerned about Tallulah Willisโ mental health.
Bruce Willisโs family announced earlier this year that the Die Hard actor had been diagnosed with dementia.
After the news broke, Scout, his daughter, wrote a touching letter in which she expressed feeling โa bit overwhelmed.โ
After receiving a formal diagnosis of aphasia in March of last year, Willis made the decision to retire from acting. His inability to converse with others on set was apparently one of the effects of his illness.
In February of 2023, his frontotemporal dementia diagnosis became public knowledge.
Obviously, the weeks and months since then have been a fight for the Willis family, and recent news indicates that they may be facing yet another form of difficulty.
According to Radar Online, Bruce and Demi Mooreโs daughter Tallulah struggled with anorexia after being left by fiancรฉ Dillon Buss just three months after Bruce was diagnosed with aphasia.
Since then, not much has been reported about Tallulahโs illness, yet it is now being suggested that Bruce knew about his daughterโs pain all along.
โBruce could see her wasting away and it only made his own problems worse,โ said a source, as per Radar.
โBruce was shattered when he saw Tallulahโs suffering,โ the insider went on.
โIt got to the point where the family thought it would be better if they werenโt around each other at all.โ
Tallulah admitted that, following her breakup with Dillon, she had entered a residential treatment center. She was evaluated and diagnosed with BPD at that facility.
Tallulah recently wrote an essay for Vogue in which she discussed how her difficulties with body dysmorphia began after she began taking medication for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
โI felt smart for the first time,โ Tallulah said of taking her medication, โbut I also started to enjoy the appetite-โsuppressant side effect of the meds. I saw a way to banish the awkward adolescent in favor of a flighty little pixie. And like so many people with eating disorders, my sense of myself went haywire.โ
โThereโs an unhealthy deliciousness at the beginning of losing weight rapidly. People are like, โOh wow!โ And then quickly it turns to, โAre you okay?โ My friends and family were terrified, and I dismissed it.โ
The 29-year-old said, โBy the spring of 2022, I weighed about 84 lbs. I was always freezing. I was calling mobile IV teams to come to my house, and I couldnโt walk in my Los Angeles neighborhood because I was afraid of not having a place to sit down and catch my breath.โ
Letโs hope Tallulah receives the care she needs to get better soon.
Having to deal with her fatherโs health problems on top of everything else must be really challenging for her.
