Trump Accuses Jack Smith of Having ‘Extensive Communications’ With Biden White House in Docs Case

Attorneys for former President Donald Trump dropped a bombshell revelation during a court hearing involving his classified documents case that could heavily influence the outcome in his favor.

According to investigative reporter Julie Kelly, who has regularly covered the proceedings, attorneys for Trump told U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon on Wednesday that they had evidence of “extensive communications” between special counsel Jack Smith’s office, the Justice Department, the National Archives, and Joe Biden’s White House prior to Trump’s indictment.

Kelly noted on social media that the disclosures were “bombshell revelations,” including one that was “years’ worth of security footage” from the former president’s Mar-a-Lago residency in Florida, The Western Journal reported.

She added that there is evidence of “‘extensive communications’ btw White House, NARA, intel agencies and DOJ/Jack Smith prior to indictment to determine which files to include.”

She took to the X platform later on Wednesday to add: “To emphasize: Trump’s lawyers told Judge Cannon this afternoon they have evidence that the Biden White House collaborated with NARA, DOJ, and intel agencies to determine which documents to include in Jack Smith’s indictment.”

In late August 2022, shortly after the unprecedented FBI raid on the home of a former president, Just the News reported, “Long before it professed no prior knowledge of the raid on Donald Trump’s estate, the Biden White House worked directly with the Justice Department and National Archives to instigate the criminal probe into alleged mishandling of documents, allowing the FBI to review evidence retrieved from Mar-a-Lago this spring and eliminating the 45th president’s claims to executive privilege, according to contemporaneous government documents.”

“The memos show then-White House Deputy Counsel Jonathan Su was engaged in conversations with the FBI, DOJ and National Archives as early as April, shortly after 15 boxes of classified and other materials were voluntarily returned to the federal historical agency from Trump’s Florida home,” the outlet continued in its Aug. 22 report, adding:

By May, Su conveyed to the Archives that President Joe Biden would not object to waiving his predecessor’s claims to executive privilege, a decision that opened the door for DOJ to get a grand jury to issue a subpoena compelling Trump to turn over any remaining materials he possessed from his presidency.

The machinations are summarized in several memos and emails exchanged between the various agencies in spring 2022, months before the FBI took the added unprecedented step of raiding Trump’s Florida compound with a court-issued search warrant.

The unprecedented nature of the raid outraged conservatives.

“This is some third-world bullshit right here,” then-Fox News host Dan Bongino said during a segment with Jesse Watters. “Let me say it again, third-world bullshit. I mean every word of that. I don’t care that it’s cable news.

“I was a federal agent, I raised my right hand. And I swore to protect and defend the constitution of the United States. And I love this country. This is a freaking disgrace. A disgrace. We don’t live in Cuba. We don’t live under Kim Jong Un” of North Korea, he continued.

“We live in a constitutional republic. A representative democracy. You have a bunch of FBI agents raiding the home of a former president because they don’t like his politics? Are you kidding me?” he added.

“This is some third-world garbage that happened tonight,” he continued.

Following the raid, Trump said that it was political in nature and meant to keep him from running again in 2024.

“These are dark times for our Nation, as my beautiful home, Mar-A-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, is currently under siege, raided, and occupied by a large group of FBI agents,” Trump said.

“Nothing like this has ever happened to a President of the United States before. After working and cooperating with the relevant Government agencies, this unannounced raid on my home was not necessary or appropriate,” he added.
